Spiced Baileys root beer floats made with ice cream, root beer, Baileys Irish Cream and cinnamon are every grown up's dream come true! Perfect for a holiday dessert/co*cktail combo.
So, hi. You guys want to know what's stressful?
Photographing Baileys root beer floats. With a baby who awoke, mid-photo-shoot from his nap and demands cheerios! More cheerios! NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!
Root beer everywhere...ice cream melting way too quickly.
Mmm hmmm. Lots of cheerios were flung. Lots of Baby Baluga was sung. Lots of root beer went everywhere.
But let's just pretend that you are relaxing. Yes. You are very relaxed. It is Friday...you want a dessert. And a co*cktail. And ice cream. And...here is the perfect combination of all three. Baileys root beer floats!
Reasons you'll ♡ these Baileys root beer floats
- you need just 4 ingredients and 5 minutes to make them
- they are a delicious dessert/co*cktail combo
- they are perfect for a holiday party!
Adding Baileys to a root beer float totally changes it. The root beer becomes so much more creamy, and of course you get that hazelnutty yum-ness and also a little booze.
Then sprinkling some cinnamon {OK, it didn't quite sprinkle like I'd hoped and went more like: poof!}, which makes this float feel like all things warm and cozy {even though you're eating ice cream}, and just generally fall-ish.
And in case you're still not convinced, I made you another GIF. I hope you're not sick of them yet!
Reasons you'll ♡ these Baileys ice cream floats
- these root beer floats look great in a tall, narrow glass (like these ones!)
- I love my 1.5 tablespoon cookie scoop to get small scoops of ice cream

What a lovely ice cream float. This would be perfect right now since it's so hot here. And it's spiked - so it's extra awesome :). I haven't figure out how to do a GIF yet so I'm envious of your GIF skills!

I've been thinking more about babies these days, but I'm always wondering how it will effect the blog process! Hopefully you can just stuff a few cheerios in their mouth and they go back to sleep?! These ice cream floats sound so good, baileys is pretty much the best! I'm now way more excited for Friday co*cktails 🙂

My experience with blogs and babies: they don't really go together...I could barely manage to heat up a frozen lasagna for the family when Kai was a few weeks old, let alone recipe test, photograph and write. Of course it depends on your baby, some are easier than others, and some actually take naps...mine: not so much 🙂 Babies are awesome and snuggly and cute and they are just the best when their little personalities start to emerge...but man, they are hard work!

Aren't you happy no cheerios made it into the float. 🙂 I love how adult this is. Yumm

Kathy, it was a miracle that this wasn't a spiced bailey's cheerio ice cream float 🙂 Don't know how that would have been LOL!

Yum, I could definitely use one of these floats today! Yikes, it's hard when you're in the middle of shooing and your lil one wakes up. The pictures look beautiful! Love the Baileys in here!

Yeah, it's hard to be 'in the zone', and then get interrupted. Thank goodness for cheerios 🙂 Thanks, Kelly!

Root beer floats are the best! I had so many last summer, but couldn't have the baileys because I was pregnant.
